This report covers incidents from Jan. 26-30 as recorded in the Department of Campus Safety’s Crime and Fire Log. Learn more about The Beacon’s weekly Police Blotter here.

Tuesday, Jan. 27

At 11:19 a.m., a student reported a break-in to their vehicle in the main parking lot due to a broken window, according to Director of Campus Safety and Emergency Management Michael McNerney. No items were identified as missing after a Campus Safety officer and the student inventoried the vehicle, classifying the incident as vandalism as opposed to motor vehicle theft.

Wednesday, Jan. 28

At 9:22 a.m., Campus Safety received an email from the grounds foreman about damage to the grass off Willamette Boulevard by Chiles Center. McNerney says a vehicle drove up off the roadway, and because of saturation from recent rainfall, it left tire tracks that are costly to repair.
