Downtown Portland’s Crystal Ballroom is about to get loud — and you won’t want to miss it. The historic venue will host Rock the Bluff (RTB) on March 21, put on by the Campus Program Board (CPB).
The event will be headlined by indie artist Yot Club with opener The Kilans.
Time to grab your friends for a night of music and dancing. This is your guide to Rockin’ the Bluff.
Tickets
Make sure to bring your wristband, which serves as your ticket into the concert.
To get into the venue you’ll need your student ID and your wristband. If you have a non-UP guest, they will need their real government ID to gain entrance to the event.

Event details
The concert will start at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m.
Assorted snacks and water will be provided at the event, and those over 21 years old are privy to a bar — just make sure to bring a valid ID.
Attendees planning on bringing a bag should note that it can’t be any larger than a clutch or fanny pack. Outside food and drinks are not permitted.
Concertgoers can contact mooree@up.edu for ADA accommodations.
Transportation
Looking to avoid a hefty Uber fee to the show? CBP is offering students a free ride to RTB via bus from Buckley Center. Students can access the bus through the Buckley Center door just outside the Learning Commons for security. Buses will begin departing at 6:45 p.m. and will continue picking students up every 15 minutes until the end of the event.
Attendees are also welcome to drive themselves or rideshare, entering Crystal Ballroom though a separate entrance at the side of the building.
Buses will also be available to take students back to UP regardless of how they arrived. Students can leave the venue at any point the entire night, as buses rotate every 15 minutes.
Event preparation
For maximum fun at RTB, get familiar with Yot Club. You might know their viral hit “YKWIM?” but their discography spans 3 full-length albums and numerous singles and EP’s.
Creative director of the We Wore That fashion club Miya Wilson recommends that attendees dress practically, especially if they plan on going out in the city afterwards.
“I would advise them to dress based on the vibe of the artist, like with any concert,” Wilson said. “You would wear something different to a Beyoncé concert than you would to a Taylor Swift concert.”
Wilson recommends wearing a “cool graphic tee” or additional clothing with Earth tones like green, blue and brown.
