‘MLK Day ON’ panel discusses freedom, community, solidarity and justice

On Jan. 19, UP hosted a multidisciplinary panel to recognize Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day, focusing on his famous “I Have a Dream” speech. The panelists discussed ways that the UP community can embody traits of freedom, community, solidarity and justice, which are values central to the speech.

Deans panel highlights academic changes

On Nov. 10,  deans from each college discussed incoming changes to their respective schools. Changes range from furniture to curriculums and will impact student experiences across all parts of campus.

New degree in media arrives at UP

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you threw social media, journalism and public relations into a blender? The new Bachelor of Science in Media coming out of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) might just be the answer. The major, newly available at the start of this term, has been in the works since 2020.
