With warm spring days rolling in, UP students are finally able to escape their houses and bask in the sun. But for many of us, it's time to start making professional plans for the summer and secure an internship before it's too late. This can be extremely stressful in a normal year, let alone in the midst of a pandemic.

The Career Center is hosting a summer internship workshop this Friday at 2:30 p.m. called, “So You Want an Internship?” Students can RSVP on Handshake. Audrey Fancher, the internship and engagement coordinator for the career center will be hosting the event.

The same event will be held on March 30 and April 15, both at 2:30 p.m. It is not a continuous workshop, so students are able to attend any one of the three events.

“This workshop will help you create an Internship Search Action Plan, and orient you to the resources that will help you along the process,” Fauncher said in an email. “If you are thinking about gaining professional experience over the summer, but don't know where to start or feel stuck: this workshop is for YOU!”

All of the career center events and open office hours information is available on Handshake
