As the semester comes into full swing, the University of Portland Bookstore will be closing. The store will close its doors today, Sept. 5 due to the lack of UP Community members on campus, according to Store Manager Erin Cave.

Although students won’t be able to walk in freely to peruse the UP branded clothing and school supplies, the Bookstore will still have resources available. Students are welcome to make appointments by phone (503-943-7125) or email (sm796@bncollege.com), and will be able to enter the store and pick up their orders or make returns, Cave said.

The store will be reopening later in the fall semester, but the date has not been determined yet. Online orders will still be fulfilled and shipped to students as usual, according to Cave.

“Please check our website and Facebook page for the reopening dates,” Cave said. “We cannot wait for the campus to open up again.”
