Three students hit by car in front of Chiles Center

A silver Camaro hit three pedestrians in a two car collision on Friday evening around 10 p.m.

Three students were struck by a car while walking in front of the Chiles Center near the Willamette Blvd. and Portsmouth Blvd. intersection at around 10 p.m. on Friday, according to eyewitness senior Kale Kanaeholo. According to Portland Police, one student was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“I heard the collision between the two cars,” Kanaeholo said. “The silver camaro over here made a right turn, jumped the curb, and I saw the three students get hit.”

Kanaeholo then called Portland Police who responded a few minutes later. 

According to Portland Police, no citations have been issued as of Saturday afternoon, but the incident is under investigation by the traffic bureau. No further information is available at this time.
