Outdoor Pursuits Program unveils new off-road wheelchair

  A new off-road wheelchair known as “The Rig” is making the outdoors more accessible to students.  Designed to handle grass, sand and well-maintained trails, The Rig allows all users to participate in Outdoor Pursuits Program (OPP) excursions on terrain that would normally pose a challenge for some students with disabilities. It was made available to rent in November 2025.

COLUMN: Fall sports roundUP

UP is nearing the end of another semester. While this means saying goodbye to assignments and extracurriculars, it also entails a bittersweet close to the fall sports that have motivated campus throughout this stressful term. To celebrate the term’s grand finale, reporters Rieve Randall, Kaeden Souki and Audrey Day have evaluated the performance of each fall sport.

How to celebrate Filipino American History Month on campus

Filipino American History Month has officially kicked off this October, with thousands of parades and cultural performances planned around the nation in celebration. October is a chance to recognize the rich history and impact that Filipino Americans have on the country.

Center for Gender and Sexuality to celebrate visibility and joy during OUTober

The Center for Gender and Sexuality (CGS) is tucked in the lower level of Orrico Hall. The floor that houses CGS might blend in with those around it, if not for the bright rainbow flag in its window. The flag reflects the vibrant community that has formed, both within the center and in the wider UP population, since its founding last year.
