Thursday, Aug. 28 Art: Last Thursday on Alberta: An amorphous celebration of art, food and PDX culture.  Last Thursday is a truly unique Portland experience held on the last Thursday of every month. It’s particularly worth attending  while the mild weather holds. Trimet: Take the 44 bus from North Willamette and University of Portland. Roughly 15 minutes will elapse. Friday, Aug. 29 Film: Portland Film Festival: An awesome film festival and definitely worth the cost if you’re a serious film junky. Saturday, Aug. 30 Shopping: Portland Saturday Market: Largest continuously operating market in the country. A Portland must in the summer weather. http://www.portlandsaturdaymarket.com | 2 S.W. Naito Parkway | 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Music: Head and the Heart: Folksy wisdom abounds at this Edgefield Concert on the Lawn series, which ends in September. Sunday, Aug. 31 Film: Portland Movies in the Park: A lovely summer tradition with FREE admission and popcorn.The evening’s movie is “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.” Bring a blanket and a cuddle friend, as it tends to get cold.
