Most of campus including Shipstad, Mehling, Villa Maria, Corrado and Lund Family Hall as well as the off-campus UP neighborhood is still without electricity and cell service, due to a winter storm that has caused massive regional power outages. The UP area has been without power since last night.

UP has canceled all on-campus activities and online classes for the day.

On-campus students received an email from Andrew Weingarten, Director of Residence Life, which said they are trying to provide on-campus students with additional blankets, warming and charging stations. Bon App is working to provide meals in The Commons.

The Beacon will provide more information as it becomes available.

If you have photos or information to share related to the situation on campus and in the neighborhood, please email William Seekamp seekamp22@up.edu.
