Juanita Adams, grandmother of Portland Pilots freshman guard Chase Adams, died Friday morning in Chicago due to complications from the coronavirus. She was 82.

Juanita was diagnosed with the virus last Friday and was put on a ventilator in the ICU earlier this week. Chase and his family have also been in quarantine since last week with five other family members. His father, Tony, has been isolated to his room after exhibiting a cough, but has not shown any additional symptoms.

Chase’s grandfather, Ralph Walker, also died last Sunday from a suspected heart attack. He was 77.
