I had no idea what to expect when I sat down in Keller Auditorium to watch Blue Man Group on Oct. 17. But then nothing could have possibly prepared me for what I did experience.

The show was multi-faceted and impossible to categorize, sometimes fascinating and other times just plain silly.

Perhaps most widely known for the blue paint that covers their bald heads, eyelids and every other part of their skin, they were certainly interesting and slightly spooky to see on stage.

The show was a combination of a concert, play and light show on steroids.

With pipes as percussion instruments and electronic music running sporadically in the background, the music was inventive and interesting.

The skits, one in which they dragged some poor little grandma from the audience and forced her to eat a Twinkie, failed to make me giggle.

The light show impressed all the hyper kids in the audience, but slightly annoyed me.

I was impressed, really, to see all of the different things they could do. I also enjoyed how they engaged their audience and left me constantly wondering what they would pull off next.

But I would not see the show again. One round of blue men is enough for me.
