Pilots women’s basketball rallied to defeat the Santa Clara University Broncos 73-66 Feb. 22, going on a 15-4 run in the game's final five minutes. The thrilling comeback gave the Pilots their victory in the final home game of the season. Graduate student forward Alexis Mark led the way with 23 points, 11 rebounds and four assists on the night.

More than a decade after students advocated for adding gender identity to UP’s non-discrimination policy, the Board of Regents is considering it. According to an email from Director of Public Affairs Dan Christopherson, regents discussed adding gender identity to the policy in January, but said he could not provide details.

On Wednesday, the Trump administration rescinded a Biden-era memo that would have made colleges responsible for equally distributing name, image and likeness (NIL) payments between men and women under Title IX. Vice President for UP Athletics Scott Leykam said in an email to The Beacon that UP Athletics is evaluating all the recent guidance on collegiate athletics that has come from the federal government.
