UP junior, Cody Yamakawa has passed according to an email sent to the UP Community Monday, July 25.

“Cody’s family recently informed us that Cody died by suicide approximately two weeks ago.” Fr. John Donato, Vice President for Student Affairs, said in the email.

As of right now, no further details have been shared with the community.

A mass in remembrance will be held Wednesday, July 27th at noon in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher. The mass will also be available via livestream.

A memorial held in the fall when students return to campus is also being determined.
