Men’s cross country team finishes third in the Nation

The men’s and women’s cross country teams boasted program-best finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championship in Indiana Nov. 22. The men’s cross country team finished 3rd and senior Tansey Lystad finished 15th individually for the women.

Senior Scott Fauble led the Pilots on the 10k course with a finish time of 30:34.4, and taking a 12th place finish overall. His fellow senior, Reid Buchanan, finished 12.2 seconds behind Fauble with a time of 30:46.6. This performance garnered Fauble and Buchanan All-America statuses.

For the women, Tansey Lystad finished a 6k course with a time of 20:19.4. She is the fourth women’s cross country runner to qualify for the NCAA Championship in program history.
