Why did you choose to play for UP?

I chose UP because of the program, the field and the coaches. I came on an official visit, watched a game and saw the crowd. And it just clicked that I needed to come here to play in front of those fans.

How long have you been playing soccer, and do you have any particular special memory of playing when you were younger?

I’ve been playing a long time, since as far back as I can remember. A special moment for me, maybe, was getting the phone call from the coaching staff here telling me that they wanted me to come play here. Also, in high school, winning our biggest championship was pretty special, and doing it with my brother was pretty cool.

What has been your biggest challenge playing for UP so far?

Probably just staying healthy, and eating healthy and doing everything possible to make sure that I am able to play.

Now that you are a senior, your academics must be getting harder, but you are also taking more of a leadership role on the field. Does this season and school year feel any different for you?

Yeah, its pretty different, because I know its my last year, my last “hoorah,” so I am trying to do everything possible to make sure it’s a good year. I’m trying to help out the young guys, letting them know that it goes by quick, so take advantage of it.

What are some of your personal goals for this season?

I want us to win the WCC, and personally I want to do everything I can, whether that is scoring or just being a leader, to make sure we win.

What does it mean to you to represent the Pilots?

It means a lot to me. I've always wanted to play college soccer, and to do it here at Portland with such a huge soccer community is amazing, and I cherish every moment of it. And i’m sad it’s coming to an end, so I want to get to the playoffs so I can play a little longer.

What is your favorite professional soccer team?

I love Manchester United, even though they are struggling.

If you didn't play soccer, what other sport would you have played?

I’d love to play hockey. I played roller hockey in high school, but never ice hockey.

Outside of school and soccer, what do you like to do for fun?

I love all sports. I love football and hockey, so I spend my time watching my favorite teams, the Sharks or the 49ers.

If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only have two things with you what would they be?

A cell phone so I could talk to my parents when I start to miss them, and a TV to watch all the hockey games.
