SUBMISSION POLICY:
Letters to the Editor must not exceed 250 words. Those with longer opinions are encouraged to submit guest columns, which should not exceed 500 words. The Beacon reserves the right to edit any contributions for length or style, and/or reject them without notification.
All contributions must include the writer's address and phone number for verification purposes. University students must include their major and year in school.
The Beacon does not accept submissions written by a group, although pieces written by an individual on behalf of a group are acceptable.
CORRECTIONS POLICY:
The Beacon publishes corrections of significant errors of fact. To submit a request for correction, send an email to beacon@up.edu with "Correction Request" in the subject line. In the email, please include the following:
- The publication date,headline of the article and specific information about the sentence/paragraph/caption/graphic pertinent to your request.
- Proposed correction with explanation, if needed.
- Your name, phone number and relationship to the University of Portland (ie:student, staff, neighbor, etc.)
SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION:
Subscriptions are available for $30. All subscribers will receive issues only until the end of the academic year (no backorders). Subscribers are urged to place orders at the beginning of the school year (August).
