On Saturday, Nov. 16, UP men’s soccer defeated Oregon State University 3-2. With goals from Connor Evans, Joe Highfield and Efe Aror the Pilots come out of the regular season undefeated in the WCC for the first time since 1989. On Sept. 27, nine former Pilots were inducted into the 2024 UP Athletics Hall of Fame for their athletic achievements. These former Pilots — Angie Woznuk Kerr, Tansey Lystad Hensley, Kory Casto, Megan Rapinoe, Eugene “Pooh” Jeter, Michelle Enyeart, David Kinsella, Lucia Butkovska and Professor Robert Duff — were honored during halftime of the men’s soccer game vs. Sacramento State before their induction at a ceremony at Beauchamp Recreation and Wellness Center. If you’ve ever taken a stroll down Willamette Boulevard you may have been entranced in your phone or deep in conversation with a friend. The world can be so distracting at times that we forget to appreciate the simple beauties around us. UP’s Campus Program Board welcomed students to Bikini Bottom on Friday night. Riverboat 2024 was sponge-inspired, smile-inducing and full of bubbles. Even more exciting than the dunk tank and krabby patties was the fact that Riverboat was at River Campus this year. Students bounced in an inflatable pirate ship, played games, and danced the night away.

Clive’s Army returned Friday night to a lively Merlo Field. The Pilot men's soccer team took down the University of Washington Huskies 2-1 with goals from Sebastian Nava and Nicholas Dunbar.
