On Feb. 4, 2026, the Pilots men’s basketball team toppled Gonzaga for the first time since 2014. The Pilots won 87-80, sending the Bulldogs home with their first conference loss of the 2025-26 season. The Pilots return to the Chiles Center on Feb. 7 to face the Seattle Redhawks.

Portland’s historic men’s soccer season concluded on December 6, 2025 with a 1-0 NCAA Tournament loss to Furman. This was the first time the Pilots have hosted the quarterfinals.

On Nov. 29, 2025, the Pilots defeated Grand Canyon University 1-0 in an NCAA Sweet 16 matchup, advancing to the Elite Eight. Forward Joe Highfield whose status was uncertain due to an ankle injury, entered in the second half and scored the game-winning goal shortly after being subbed in.

The Pilots advance to the next round after defeating the Denver Pioneers in a game that went through two overtime periods and ended in a 5–4 shootout on Nov. 23, 2025. Their next match will be against Grand Canyon University at Merlo Field on Nov. 29.
