UP’s men’s basketball team will play in the WCC tournament this week, after it was determined that the positive COVID-19 test on the team was a false positive, according to a news release from athletics.

“That test result has now been determined to be erroneous due to a 'technical error' and since confirmed as negative,” the news release said.

The men’s team will depart for Las Vegas on Wednesday and play Santa Clara on Thursday at 9 p.m. The game will be streamed on Stadium TV.
