The Earth Tub composting system is a do-it-all composting unit, which would help reduce campus waste. The Earth Tub would allow Bon Appétit to compost on campus instead of outsourcing waste to other companies.
The small barbeque pits would be available for student use in areas around every dorm. An additional option is buying a large barbeque that could serve multiple purposes and placing it in a central campus area.
Another option is to make improvements to the library by buying tables with outlet plugs in the center so that students could charge their computers. The addition of more wall outlets is also a possibility.
The Moreau Center has asked for new vans to replace its current automobiles for transportation to many of service events. The vans in use now are more than 20 years old, and the Moreau Center would like more sustainable vehicles.
Another suggestion is the addition of laundry card stations to every dorm so that the machines are accessible to more students. The new systems would, hopefully, allow students to pay with a debit or credit card instead of cash only.
ASUP is considering buying an electronic computer system for advertisement purposes. The large computer screens would replace paper flyers and advertisements. Placement possibilities include in dorms, in The Pilot House, and in the Franz Hall basement.
More new bike racks would be placed in various areas around campus.
In light of the recent ban of the sale of bottled water, ASUP is considering funding new water bottle refueling stations. The new stations would be placed in popular classroom buildings such as Buckley Center. Also, possible is the improvement of current water systems on campus.
ASUP is considering adding artwork to the interior of the Shiley Hall and the outdoor area around the Chiles Center. The ultimate goal would be to use student artwork for the project, though getting some sort of statue for campus is also in consideration.
Providing outdoor furniture for the revamped Haggerty Lounge, called The Anchor, is also an option.
