What should you expect from your concert venue? We've compiled a short list of four of the most popular venues in Portland and Troutdale.

This outdoor concert venue holds performances year-round, regardless of the weather.

You can: sit or stand in general admission, bring a lawn chair, take pictures with point-and-shoot cameras, and purchase beer or wine.

You can’t: smoke, record, tailgate, or camp.

 

Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall

Venture into the heart of downtown Portland and jam to your favorites in this elegant theater, dubbed “The Schnitz” by locals.

You can: purchase alcohol.

You can’t: record or take pictures.

 

Wonder Ballroom

This former church hosts some of the most exciting music events in Portland throughout the year, and you and offers only general admission seats — whether you watch from the balcony or dance on the floor is up to you.

You can: have access to a full bar, rent the venue for personal events, and use point-and-shoot cameras.

 

Roseland Theater

Let the music guide you to this venue in Chinatown, where most shows are standing room only. Some shows are are held in Peter’s Room, a low-capacity restaurant and bar.

You can: drink alcohol and opt for limited seating in the balcony if you’re 21 and over, although tickets are sold on a first serve basis.

You can’t: bring any recording devices.
