The Portland Pilots men’s basketball home game against the No. 5-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs that was postponed on Jan. 7 has been rescheduled to Monday, Jan. 23, at 5.pm., the West Coast Conference announced.

The Jan. 7 game was cancelled just hours before the 7 p.m. tip-off due to a severe winter storm that struck the Portland metro area and much of the Pacific Northwest.

The game is still sold out, as tickets purchased for the originally scheduled game will be honored on Jan. 23. Fans that choose not to attend on the rescheduled date can exchange their ticket for the future home game of their choosing.

Because the Athletic's Department will be honoring the tickets purchased for the original game, the student section for the Jan. 23 match up will be smaller. The Athletic's Department told the Beacon that they are working to accommodate more students with a possible standing room only section in the Chiles Center and a Pilot House watch party, but have not yet reached a concrete resolution.

Portland will have a tall task in Gonzaga, who at 16-0 are the only undefeated team left in Division I basketball this season.

The Pilots face the Zags in Spokane on Jan. 21, the back end of a two-game road trip, before returning home to host them at the Chiles Center two days later.
