Voting for the first time can be intimidating.

The University Honors Program hopes to make it more understandable with their event "Voting 4 Dummies" Wednesday night in the Fields and Schoenfeldt Hall Basement.

Education professor Eric Anctil will speak alongside three honors students about the electoral college, third party voting, state versus national elections and will take audience questions about voting. There will also be a voter registration booth at the event.

"We knew we wanted to do something related to the election and came to the realization that there are a bunch of things the average voter doesn't know about the process of voting," said senior honors student Maggie Bruckner, who is coordinating the event. "We wanted to develop an event around providing some of this basic info."
